Mobile Video Marketing Is the Future

Mobile Video Marketing Is the Future

We live in the age of digital media and video marketing. The rapidly increasing number of smartphones shows how important it is for people to be online anywhere in the world. Communication, wherever you are, is the future. Forecasts show that the number of internet-capable devices will continue to increase dramatically in the next few years.

Already 80% of all internet traffic is dominated by video content, and almost 60% of videos are viewed on mobile devices. Many companies have already recognized this trend and are investing heavily in video marketing. Currently, around 55% of marketing budgets for mobile advertising spend go towards producing videos.

Not without reason: The probability of a purchase increases by over 90% if the visitor has previously watched a video. What is surprising is that “mobile shoppers” watch up to three times more videos than “desktop shoppers”. Likewise, the time spent on a page with video increases by around 2.5 minutes on average, with 75% of mobile video consumers watching at least 70% of the video. The length of a video is crucial. According to a recent study, videos between 3 and 5 minutes in length are the most popular.

The increasing trend of online videos being watched more on mobile devices than desktop devices is only increasing, with video content uploaded to YouTube alone now hovering around 500 hours per minute.

It would therefore be a fatal mistake for any entrepreneur to distance themselves from the medium of “video” and thus ignore the best “draw horse for acquiring new customers”. Another study has shown that a newsletter with the subject “video” is opened around 20% more often and the unsubscribe rate is reduced by 27%.

It is definitely clear where the trend is heading. Video marketing and mobile marketing will play an increasingly larger role in the online sector in the future. The numbers speak for themselves, showing that there is no better time than now to get straight into the field of video and online marketing.
